Khe Hy, founder and CEO of RadReads wants you to find and do your $10k/hour work.

He trains people to move away from low-leverage, low-skill busywork (which he calls $10/hour work). And helps them figure out what high-leverage, high-skill work is right for them (the $10k/hour work).

He also acknowledges that you should focus on the multipliers, not the dollar amounts.

So, $10k/hour work is 1000x more important/impactful than $10/hour work.

Here’s how it breaks down (categories Khe’s, examples mine):

  1. $10/hr work – low leverage, low skill – getting to inbox zero
  2. $100/hr work – high leverage, low skill – setting up your email welcome sequence
  3. $1,000/hr work – low leverage, high skill – the thing you’re very good at that people will pay for
  4. $10,000/hr work – high leverage, high skill – making deep connections with people doing work you admire

Two questions to ask yourself about this:

1 – What might your $10k/hour work be?

2 – How much of each day do you spend on each category?

With leverage,
James

P.S. I read about this in Amanda Natividad’s excellent newsletter, The Menu.
