If you’re on Seth Godin’s list, you may have already seen his email from today, “The reluctant spammer.

It covers a range of topics related to “the race to the bottom” and how people doing it think they have no choice. But that’s not what stood out for me.

For me, it was this line, this golden rule for (non-urgent/critical) emails:

“If you can’t imagine wanting to receive it, don’t send it.”

Clear as a bell.
