On the subject of cutting yourself some slack

Sometimes, the thing you set out to do doesn’t work out the way you expected.

And that’s okay.

Imperfect is okay.

If the tank’s not full, if it needs refilling, that’s understandable.

Without the fuel, you were never going to get there anyway.

Even accepting that there’s no lesson in what feels like a failure can be a lesson.

Growth is the only way forward, and it’s all a grand experiment anyway.

So cut yourself some slack – whenever you need it – and get some rest.

And see how the world looks tomorrow.
