I’m new to ConvertKit (where I send One Creative Moment from) and there’s a lot I don’t know.

I dream of having my process all buttoned up – smooth, efficient, not a moment wasted. I imagine my emails all in the sweet spot, doing everything they need to and nothing more.

I won’t lie to you, there are aspects of it that are much harder than I thought they’d be.

I spent the better part of last night, and now tonight, trying to make a non-clunky social sharing link work. It has frustrated me to no end. (HOW can it be this hard for me to do something it seems like “everyone” can do!?)

Update: I have not figured it out. There are no sharing links below 🙁

But that’s not the point.

The point is that I didn’t spend those big chunks of last night and this toiling alone. No, I spent them in a long, friendly, and supportive chat with RJ, a ConvertKit Product Specialist.

We were on for an intermittent 3ish (?) hours last night. (RJ: Is there anything else I can help you with? Me: Well, now that you mention it…)

But what really impressed me was when he picked it back up when I logged in tonight.

It made me feel like more than just a customer. It made me feel seen, it made me feel thought about, it made me feel looked after.

And it reminded me of this elusive truth: Customers are people too.

Alone but not alone,
James

P.S. We did figure out how to make this page work, even if I’m still on the hunt for a social sharing link solution for these emails.
