If you have a website and you sometimes do sales calls, shouldn’t it and you be saying the same thing?
In fact, wouldn’t it be fair to say that your website ought to be more or less usable as a script for those sales calls?
Friend of the list and website maverick Kevin Freidberg blew my mind a bit with his email today, proposing more or less this: read your website as a script on sales calls.
And it’s so obvious (once it’s pointed out).
If the purpose of your site is to sell what you do or make.
And the purpose of your sales calls is the same.
Then if they didn’t say the same thing, it would be sort of odd.
So, please read Kevin’s piece here.
And then read your website, imagining you were saying it to someone on a call, and see where it doesn’t work. (Or where your calls don’t work if the site’s on point.)
Scriptacularly,
James
