Ever have one of those weeks where everything seems to hit at once?
It’s bad enough when you only have one boss or team to consider.
But if you’re running a small business (or two)—accountable to multiple stakeholders at all times (clients, team members, contractors, collaborators, prospects, etc)—it can quickly become untenable.
The moment I saw this graphic on LinkedIn from renowned educator and illustrator Liz Fosslien, I thought, “Yes, this is the perfect analogy,” and saved it.
I knew the time would come to write about it.
Yes, and after a doozy of a week, with every possible avenue of work (in, on, and for the business) seemingly on an amphetamine-fuelled bender, that time is now, lol.
So enjoy!
And if you’re feeling it, too, know that you’re not alone. Hopefully, this will take you back to simpler times. Playing Tetris for real (ideally on a GameBoy), with much lower stakes.
Block-rocking,
James
P.S. Something for the weekend! Check out friends of the list Shannon Curtis and Jamie Hill’s latest 80s kids recording, The Boys of Summer, which just came out today!! I loooove it. (Listening to it RIGHT now 🙂
