The phrase “This, too, shall pass” is not only a solace for the hard times.

It’s also a warning for the easy times.

It means “Don’t worry, things will get better” AND “Don’t rest on your laurels.”

I find I have no problem with the former but rarely remember the latter.

And I reckon I’d do well to work on that.

And I reckon I’m not alone.
