Yesterday’s piece was about the life-changing magic of emailing daily.

(Thanks for the inspo, Marie Kondo!)

I realized—moments after hitting send (as one so often does)—I had missed my very favourite benefit.

It’s this: Every email you send is also the potential start of a conversation.

And almost as if to prove that point, I got this great reply from friend of the list and Health & Wellness Copywriter Samuel Ng:

Yes, email is the easiest to repurpose!

Repurposing can be:

  • cutting a longer piece of content into shorter ones
  • combining the shorter ones into a longer piece
  • changing formats (text, audio, video)
  • different angles (story, data, humor)

Repurposing is a great summary term for a lot of what I was trying to get across.

Plus, by starting with an email, even if you don’t repurpose it, you have at least still sent an email.

You’ll have started a conversation.

And, as Samuel pointed out in his reply to my reply to his reply (lol): “Conversations lead to conversions.”

Repurposefully,
James
