When you’re writing an email to an executive or otherwise busy person, put everything you need them to know upfront.
You want to avoid them ever thinking, “What is this about? What do they want?”
That way, if they don’t read every word of the rest of your email, it’s okay. You’ll have already done what you needed and are far more likely to get a response.
Bonus points if you keep it under 100 words.
