Do you have a hard time getting to the important stuff when there’s “urgent” stuff lying around waiting to be done?
If you’re anything like me, you do.
I’m sure there are workplace-exclusive examples. But I find this particularly challenging in a work-from-home context. (Which, for me, has been since 2014.)
I have to walk through the kitchen on the way to my office, so the dishes are my weakest link. But maybe yours is the front hallway, or the kid’s bedrooms (good luck), or unfolded laundry, or unanswered non-critical emails.
Whatever it is, don’t do it!

First, work on the business (marketing, making systems, writing your daily email ahem). Then, work in the business (client work, admin work, unanswered non-critical emails). And then do the dishes.
So, okay: do do the dishes, but don’t do them yet!

James
