The optimal way to do laundry is to separate by shade (dark and light), colour (blues and reds), size (bulky and regular), material (cotton, synthetic, wool), and durability (regular, delicate).

Done this way, everything gets washed according to its precise needs. You optimize the appearance and lifespan of your clothing.

But you do not optimize the appearance and lifespan of you — the forever launderer.

If you’re like me, almost everything goes in together (except delicates, wool, and new dark clothing).

It takes way less time — both the sorting and the doing — and uses less water and energy to boot.

I’d like to optimize my laundry-doing, but life is a series of trade-offs, and this isn’t one that’s going to make the cut.

(At least not for the foreseeable future.)

But, if there was a practical, affordable, non-invasive way for someone else to do this for me, I’d consider it.

I understand the value of optimizing my laundry sorting and doing (and folding and storing, let’s be honest). I know that I lack the time, specialized knowledge, and experience for it to be a smart thing for me to do.

So, if I ever wanted to improve my results, the only logical thing would be to hire someone to do it for me. (Or, at least, point me in the direction of the success I want.)

And the same is true of your marketing.

Idea laundering,
